Recommended : You can use any essential oils for this course, providing they are of Grade A quality.  I highly recommend Young Living essential oils for their purity.  I recommend the Premier Starter Kit and the Raindrop Technique kit – these oils are an additional cost and can be bought over the first few months of training.  These two kits will give you a good start to your oils and includes a pre-blended oil for massage and a carrier oil too.  You can buy the oils here .

Suzanne uses many brands of essential oils – all of the highest quality, and her choice of companies will be explained on the first day of course.

Practical Day 1 – on this first morning you will unpack your starter kit of oils, label them, and place them in your carrying case in alphabetical order.  An introduction to chemistry (monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes) and the art of blending essential oils will be introduced. Students will make for themselves a nasal inhaler.  Suzanne will make a diffuser blend to promote learning!

In the afternoon, here will be a back massage demonstration using a pre-blended oil,  and then students will practice on each other.

Practical Day 2 – Day 2 will continue with an aromatherapy  massage demonstration on the backs of the legs, using a pre-blended oil.  Students practice on each other, including the back massage. A facial massage will then be demonstration and students practice on each other. More chemistry, more essential oils, more blending,  the history of aromatherapy, and much more. Day 2 will end with a Q&A session.

Practical Days, 3, 4, 5  will be practice of the full body massage, blending techniques and time to practice. Consultation Skills, giving after care advice and how to set up a practice.

Day 6 is an assessment day – when students have completed all their case studies and assignments, they will attend their final assessment day.  A full consultation will take place on this day, with a full aromatherapy body massage and the making of a product for their client.  A written paper may be taken on this day, or this may have been done at an earlier date.

Written Paper – for any student wanting to attempt the written paper on any of these days, time will be allocated to them, either before or after the demonstrations and practical sessions.

Check Dates and Prices for next available practical course dates.  The home study modules can be started at any time before the practical days.  There is a time limit for completion.

The minimum time for this course is 10 months, and the maximum time is 2 years from registration of the on line theory course.
